Some top tips if you're heading there,

1. Complete the online check in prior to arrival if you can, it will be a much quicker check in process with a much smaller queue.
2. Bring a drinks cup/cooler that you can take back to your lounger/beach.
3. It's very windy so worth taking towel pegs.
4. You can book the 3 restaurants during your stay on the Riu app, it can be difficult to book sometimes, they are bookable 3 days ahead and they reset at midnight so if you want to guarantee a particular restaurant, try at midnight and you shouldn't have a problem.
5. Pack sunscreen, it doesn't look or feel it but the UV rays here are very strong. Many guests have got very burnt in a short period of time so take plenty of it.
6. There is a neon or white party every week, they alternate each week so if it's your thing, find out which one will be on during your stay and pack something for it.
7. On your way home, get a taxi to the airport because it's very cheap and if you book it before the buses leave, you will miss all the crowds and huge queues, especially through airport security. If check in isn't open, they will tell you what time but get there before that and get ready, because they open this early. It's a very small airport and doesn't cater well to the volume of people.
8. There are no irons available at this resort. They have a 3rd party shop on site who hire them out but it was more expensive to do that than to go to the local city a buy one. if you need an iron, take a travel one or buy one in the city and donate it to the locals before you leave.
