MOST SPECTACULAR MONASTERY IN SPITI- Dhankar Gompa | IS DHANKAR LAKE TREK WORTH IT? SPITI Part 6

Hey guys! We are here with a fresh new vlog in the Spiti backpacking series! After covering Langza, Hikkim post office and Komic monastery (previous vlog) next day we left for Tabo from Kaza and enroute we covered Dhankar monastery and did a small hike to Dhankar lake. Perched on a 1000 ft spur, the spectacular Dhankar monastery is something you should not miss when in Spiti! Overlooking confluence of Spiti and Pin river, the views from here are a bonus. After visiting several paryer rooms and learning about history of this amazing monastery, we had momos at cafe beside it. It took us another one hour to hike to Dhankar lake which can be avoided if you are short of time.
