Udupi row: NCW's Khushbu Sundar denies hidden camera claims; BJP accuses Sidda govt of cover-up

The Congress and the BJP have locked horns over allegations that women students were filmed by placing hidden cameras inside the restrooms of a college at Udupi in Congress-ruled Karnataka, with the former refuting the opposition’s charge. Quoting media reports, BJP leader and IT Cell head Amit Malviya on Friday said, “Women from Udupi college speak up on their miseries and how they have been targeted, filmed secretly (using a hidden camera in the washroom)… This has been going on for more than a year, they say, and when the victim(s) confronted and complained, the management, a man named Abdul Kadir, asked the accused to write an apology note five times and let them off, calling it a ‘prank’.”
