Notting Hill residents and store owners set up wood panels with graffiti (bottom left) outside of homes (top left) and shop windows (top right) as one million people are set to descend on the west London suburb for the Notting Hill Carnival. Around one million people are expected to attend the two-day celebration in west London (bottom right) over the Bank Holiday weekend. More than 12,000 police officers will also be on the streets patrolling the Carnival while 'significantly more' knife arches will be in place for the popular annual street party.
