Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Electric Clock Repair

Описание к видео Ford, Lincoln, Mercury Electric Clock Repair

In this video, we clean and repair the popular electronic clock used by Ford and GM from the '50s to the '70s.

Important Note 1: The electronic clock mechanism has a calibration feature in that when you adjust the clock backwards (counterclockwise), the clock thinks the time is going fast and will slow down the timekeeping mechanism. Likewise, when you adjust the clock forward (clockwise) it speeds up the timing mechanism. The Ford manuals say that if the clock is running fast or slow, a few days of adjustment should get it to accurate timekeeping.

Important Note 2: If you have the "Quartz Electronic" clock and it is not functioning. First, check the power supply to the clock. If that checks out at around 11-14 volts, the clock may be bad. What typically needs replacing is a capacitor inside the electronic clock mechanism. There are companies that service these quartz clocks such as https://www.clocksandgauges.com/ that, I believe, repair these Quartz clocks.
