VIGGEN & TUNNAN @ BLACKPOOL READY TO ILLUMINATE SOUTHPORT AIRSHOW (airshowvision)

A short video to celebrate the special visit of the Saab Viggen and Tunnan to Southport Airshow 2019, and Blackpool Airport

OK so the displays weren't great, and organisers put them on the programme so late causing the sun to blind everyone so the jets couldn't be seen or filmed very well - they often do with the best items which is why I usually do just the Friday at Southport these days. Despite the issues, the Viggen and Tunnan are still a rare sight in the UK.

Wish the Viggen had done the slow speed wing-rock though - it's best move.

However, despite the gripes it is fair to say that the Swedish Historic flight put many other nations to shame with the incredible work they do to have at least one flying example of most of their retired aircraft - what we would give for a flying Lightning/Harrier/Javelin/Phantom etc...

In this video we see both jets in close-up at Blackpool airport with the iconic Big One rollercoaster in the background, taking off for Southport then a few highlights from the show itself before returning to BPL.

Finally they leave Blackpool for home.

Let us hope we see them again soon in Britain with tighter closer displays?
