Classic TV Theme: Growing Pains.

Описание к видео Classic TV Theme: Growing Pains.

A psychiatrist (Alan Thicke) works from home because his wife (Joanna Kerns) has gone back to work as a reporter. So he gets to be Mr Mom to three children (soon to become four) and comedy ensues. A typical sitcom premise, but a talented cast helped send 'Family Ties' (1985) to the top ten during its seven-season run on ABC. The show was never out of the top 30 until the final season, when Leonardo diCaprio was shoe-horned into the family. Wiki can fill you in on the backstage drama involving Tracey Gold, Kirk Cameron, Julie McCullough et al. The theme song, 'As Long As We Got Each Other' by Steve Dorff and John Bettis, stayed for the entire run of the show. There were several different renditions along the way:
0:00 Opening titles, season one. Theme song performed by B.J. Thomas.
1:01 Opening titles, season four. Performed by B.J. Thomas and Dusty Springfield.
2:00 Opening titles, season five. Performed by B.J. Thomas and Jennifer Warnes; also used in seasons two and three, and on some season seven episodes.
3:00 Opening titles, season seven. Performed by cappella vocal group (Joe Chemay, Jim Haas, Jon Joyce and George Merrill); first heard in season six.
4:02 End credits, season seven. Instrumental.
