I give this game a rating of 5.9/10. This game is OK, not good or bad, it just exists, haha. The game is about being Kung Fu Panda driving a wooden car, and the goal is to reach the end—typical 2D. So, what makes it different? Well, aside from the theme, you collect fireworks, and with the spacebar, it’s like a nitro boost. But you can also fall off, and I didn't expect there to be checkpoints. Another objective is to avoid running out of time and, obviously, to get the highest score by collecting "coins." The energy bar only depletes if you press the right arrow, which acts as "fuel." I guess it recharges by picking up fireworks, but you can only hold two "boosts." If you grab the black firework, it gives you an extra boost.
As for the mechanics, they’re fine. The gameplay is OK: spacebar for turbo and the up arrow to jump. Something I liked is that when you hit the edge of a platform, the character bumps into it instead of just falling. And when you fall, the timer doesn’t reset because the point is to finish in the shortest time and with the most score. I have no complaints about the gameplay—it’s very short, only 4 levels. At the end, it just shows the typical "Congratulations" screen with your final score, which you can't upload anywhere, but OK, that doesn't matter much. After finishing, you just start all over again.
When it comes to entertainment, yes, it was fun for the first 4 minutes it took me to finish, but after that, there’s nothing else to do. The game is designed to be short, and I don’t understand the title because it says "Kart Racing," but there’s no racing at all—it's just a 2D progression to the finish.
The graphics are OK; again, nothing to complain about. I find it hard to describe them because I can’t tell if they’re vectors or images. Is that good or bad? Well, it’s good in the sense that it confuses me, and I can’t distinguish, because the character, background—everything fits well and nothing feels out of place. This makes the game visually more pleasant. The interface and font are amazing—nothing to complain about there.
The sounds aren’t overwhelming or annoying. The game in general has a high volume, so you just need to lower it. The looped music is good—it fits the "Chinese" theme and doesn’t distract or bother you while playing. I couldn’t even tell where the loop restarts. I also liked the sound effects—they add more interaction to what’s happening, which is great.
Nothing to complain about here. The game is "good" if the goal was to make a short but entertaining game. OK, but it’s not something I would play for hours
