The CATL Ion batteries fitted to the STEED produce 174Kw of power, industry-leading for an EV Midi Bus and gives the Steed the ability to traverse from an urban arena to become a rural champion, this is all in a day’s work as STEED offers an impressive range of up to 300km.
This is further enhanced with DC fast charging using CCS2 power transfer technology from power down to fully charged in about 2 hours, keeping the vehicle on the road longer and adding to your bottom line.
The use of weight control & advanced engineering logic throughout the STEED has been optimised to exchange the least amount of power for the best range and functionality possible.
The Prestolite Electric motor is extremely powerful & quiet this gives a smooth power exchange from the battery system to the rear wheels.
The STEED is designed to be fully accessible with its flat floor section, wheelchair ramp, wide aisles, and comfortable seating for 26 passengers with enough room for standing passengers if required by the operator. The advanced ECAS system for lowering the bus is also a standard feature and makes the STEED driver-friendly & easy to enter and exit for passengers of all abilities and ages.
Harris Group has designed the driver's cabin to ensure a comfortable, practical & safe workstation, an easy-to-read menu system gives the driver all the information needed to monitor the vehicle’s systems & environment with an independent and adjustable heating and cooling system for the passengers regardless of the weather conditions.
