Are these an affordable alternative to Tannoy speakers?

I'll be fixing the speaker surrounds, voice coil rub and transplanting the magnets. Stay tuned to the end for a sample track. My driver versions are the Wharfedale Super 12 RS/DD but there are a few different variations out there.
