യശശ്ശരീരനായ കഥകളി ഗായകന്‍ ശ്രീ. കലാമണ്ഡലം ശങ്കരന്‍ എമ്പ്രാന്തിരിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഡോക്യുമെന്‍ററി.

1999 ഒക്ടോബർ 31 ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം കാർത്തിക തിരുനാൾ തിയേറ്ററിൽ വച്ചിട്ടാണ് കളിയരങ്ങിലെ ഭാവഗായകൻ എന്ന, ശ്രീ. കലാമണ്ഡലം ശങ്കരന്‍ എമ്പ്രാന്തിരിയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഡോക്യുമെന്‍ററിയുടെ ആദ്യ പ്രദർശനം നടന്നത്. ഡോക്യുമെൻററി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തത് പ്രശസ്ത ചലച്ചിത്ര സംവിധായകൻ ശ്രീ.അടൂർ ഗോപാലകൃഷ്ണൻ ആണ് . പ്രദർശനത്തിനുശേഷം ശ്രീ കലാമണ്ഡലം ബാലസുബ്രഹ്മണ്യൻ കീചകനായി രംഗത്തുവന്ന കീചകവധം കഥകളിക്ക് ശ്രീ. ശങ്കരൻ എമ്പ്രാന്തിരി മുഴുവൻ പാടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

Documentary about the renowned Kathakali singer Kalamandalam Sankaran Empranthiri(Late).

This documentary was premiered in 1999 October 1st at Karthikathirunal theatre, Thiruvananthapuram. The documentary switch on inauguration was done by eminent film maker Sri. Adoor Gopalakrishnan. After the premier there held a Keechakavadham Kathakali in which Sri Kalamandalam Balasubrahmanyan performed the role of Keechaka and Sri Sankaran Empranthiri excellently sung the lyrics
