When A Narcissist Sees You As Being Too Strong, This Is What They'll Do // What happens when a narcissist sees you as being too strong? It depends on what kind of destructive narcissism you are dealing with.

For example, a covert narcissist will initially be attracted to your strength. Inevitably and quite predictably, however, the covert narcissist will be triggered, and therefore feel threatened by it. Suddenly, and seemingly out of nowhere, you’ll become the villain, and they, of course, the perpetual Victim.

Similarly, a more grandiose narcissist (overt narcissist) will initially find your strength and personal power attractive. Irresistible even. That is, until they aren’t getting their way. Until, it becomes clear that you aren’t so easily swayed, manipulated, dominated, duped, deceived, or controlled.

Once this becomes clear, your strength and personal power will become a problem. A big problem… for the narcissist!

This is true whether you are dealing with your narcissistic mother, narcissistic father, or both narcissistic parents simultaneously.

It’s also to be expected when dealing with a narcissistic sibling, or anyone else with a narcissistic personality disorder.

If and when a narcissist sees you cry, they’ll be under the illusion that they have more power and control over you than they actually do in reality. What they may not realize is, this is likely to be the beginning of the end of the narcissist relationship.

The bottom line is, when a narcissist sees that you’ve moved on, look out! There will be a very specific and predictable kind of backlash.
