The Cedarberg Wilderness Area is located 200 kilometres (124 miles) north of Cape Town. This landscape dates back nearly 500 million years! Home to hundreds of San rock paintings, the Cederberg Wilderness Area is predominantly made up of the Cederberg Mountain range.

Dating back 5,000 years, the reddish-brown paintings offer a glimpse into the fascinating lives and beliefs of the Khoisan people who dwelled in the area
