In this video edit with more footage of the spring heron migration, this time round several species are observed migrating over Gozo.

The footage and pictures include Night and Purple Herons together with Little Egrets and were taken in Dwejra and Xagħra. Some of the herons continued migrating whilst others spent the night in Gozo roosting in trees.
