Fluval FX-6 Canister Filter IMPELLER CLEANING *Plus MEDIA TIPS*

Описание к видео Fluval FX-6 Canister Filter IMPELLER CLEANING *Plus MEDIA TIPS*

I estimate that dirty impellers reduce canister filter performance 20-40%! Let's clean this Fluval FX-6 impeller and get that canister running at peak performance! As a bonus I also get into the media that I use inside my Fluval canister, what I put in each basket, in what order and why I do it that way.

This canister filter ran for a full year and was still in pretty good shape because I use a pre-filter from Aquarium Co-Op. You can see the opening of the filter and the condition it was in after one year in the 10/28/23 Cichlids & Coffee live stream here: https://youtube.com/live/jT-yxamLaOo

Do you use canister filters? How often do you pull and clean the impeller? What media are you using? Do you use a pre-filter? Share your thoughts and tips in the comments below because at this channel we all learn from each other!

Remember that fish keeping is truly a fluid situation and what works for one set-up might not work for another. Do plenty of research gathering information from several reliable sources before making any changes in your aquarium.
