About the Faculty:
Mr. Shahnawaz Ahmad is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, Malappuram Centre, Kerala. He has completed his B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics from Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith University, Varanasi, LL.B. (Hons) from the prestigious Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, and LL.M with Distinction from renowned "Jamia Millia Islamia", New Delhi. He has qualified UGC- NET Exam. He has been awarded with many scholarships including Jamia Merit Scholarship for securing Highest Position in Corporate Law stream and Second in order of merit in LL.M Examination. During LL.M he has been elected as Vice- President of Law Association of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has successfully completed Training Programme on Human Rights, sponsored by National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi. He has participated in various debate competitions, Moot Court Competitions, Training Programmes, Refresher Course, Orientation Course, Moodle, Moocs, Workshops, Seminars & Webinars. His Articles & Research Papers have been published in reputed National and International Journals. Apart from discharging academic responsibility he is also serving as an Examination In- Charge of the Aligarh Muslim University Campus, Kerala, Superintendent of Examination, Assistant Convener flying Squad, Member (Infrastructure Committee), Member (Examination Committee), Coordinator Moodle and Teacher-in-Charge of Legal Aid Clinic. His area of interests are Intellectual Property Law, Criminal Law, Arbitration Law, Contract Law, Information Technology Law and Interpretation of Statutes.
