Dent Grand Sonnerie Bracket Clock 03

A mahogany cased bracket clock, circa 1880, by Dent of London, with massive eight day three train fusee movement striking the quarters, Whittington chime on eight bells or Westminster chime on four gongs, the hours on a gong, the brass dial with slow/fast silvered subsidiary indicator above a silvered chapter ring with Roman numerals framing a matt centre, cornered with pierced gilt foliate scroll spandrels, flanked with silent/chime and Whittington/Westminster indicators, the case with bell top and brass carrying handle flanked by four turned brass ball finials, above pierced gilt foliate scroll fret panels and brass stop fluted canted corners, on a moulded plinth base with brass apron and outswept bracket feet, height approx 66cm.
