How much have I saved over the years of ownership so far?
With a 20MWh output at an approximate average saving of 30c/kWh taking into account a lost opportunity cost from an albeit low feed in tariff (5c-8c/kWh over the years), the occasional off peak charging from the grid (battery software driven) and mostly covering a high peak tariff of 40c-50c/kWh given I’m usually on a time of use plan, I’ve probably saved about $6k. I initially outlayed $11k at install so I guess I’ve “paid back” over 50% thus far. I may do an update payback video also down the track …
