Abstract
The RFID-Based Attendance System is a smart and standalone solution designed using Arduino Nano, SIM800L GSM module, and an RTC (Real-Time Clock) module for accurate attendance management. Each user is provided with a unique RFID card. When the card is scanned, the Arduino Nano verifies the user and displays their name and attendance status on a 16x2 LCD.
To ensure accurate date and time stamping of attendance, the system integrates an RTC module, which provides real-time tracking even without internet connectivity. The attendance record, including user ID, date, and time, is sent via SMS to a predefined phone number using the SIM800L GSM module, making the system functional even in remote areas.
The setup supports attendance tracking for up to four users, offering a reliable and efficient alternative to manual attendance systems. It is ideal for small institutions, labs, or office cabins, ensuring secure and timely record-keeping with minimal human effort.
