The chart in this video displays a changing number of categories and can be built very easily from the spill range of a single formula with dynamic array functions. This method is an alternative to using dynamic named ranges as chart references and is available in Microsoft 365 and Excel for the web. In older versions you will still need to use dynamic named ranges for a similar effect. It is important to use one formula for the spill range. In case the necessary columns are non-adjacent in the source data range, include more columns than necessary in the spill range, wrap the formula in the CHOOSECOLS function and specify the column numbers that you need.
