This RARE HUMMINGBIRD is Found in a Small Area of Brazil

The Hooded Visorbearer is a rare hummingbird with a short traight bill which he uses to feed on yellow flowers common to the area. The male has a black forehead and cheeks that frame bright green feathers around the bill and throat. He has a small patch at the throat that can appear blue and gold to fiery red. To me this patch looks like he’s wearing a little tie. The body is a bronzy green and the tail is a reddish copper color. The Hooded Visorbearer is endemic to the State of Bahia in Brazil.
