Research commissioned by the GLA has shown that loneliness in London has risen despite the end of the pandemic. Over 700,000 Londoners say their affected by severe loneliness and feel lonely 'most' or 'all of the time'.

Londoner Jacob met Beitka from Prague, gaming whilst isolated over lockdown. Last week Game at First Sight, a gaming event in Waterloo, brought them together for the very first time as well as other gaming friends looking for companionship online.

Our reporter Brydie Monaghan spoke to them as well as Liam Ramsey and Jules Gill who were meeting for the first time in-person after over a decade of friendship online which saw them support each other through tragedy, despite being over 9000 miles apart.
