2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS Coupe by AMT - Episode 33

Today on the WorkBench, I am building the Hot Wheels edition of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS/RS Coupe by AMT. This kit is a curbside snap (push) together kit. I have done a couple of these on the channel now and I realize that some people don’t care for them. That’s okay, somewhere out in the audience there’s someone that has this kit and may be struggling with the assembly process. If this is you, I hope that you can pick up a few tips on how it goes together. If this isn’t you… Well, I guess just sit back and enjoy the show. I picked this kit up at my local Hobby Lobby about a month or so ago for a song ($6.24) because the box was torn open. Everything was still sealed in the bags so, I brought it home. I liked the fact that the body was molded in metallic blue but there were swirl marks in the plastic that would have made it look terrible if the bare plastic would have just been clear coated or left alone. So, I decided to go a different route and shoot Folk Art Colorshift paint on it.

With the exception of the primers used in this build, this is full on acrylic craft paint build. I have had enough with incompatibilities and cracking etc. and dealing with spray cans for the time being.
