[3:41] Preparing the yarn for dyeing
Bundle 5 Donegal DK, 5 Titanium, 1 that yak and bundle with 1 zip tie
Presoak in some plain tap water for a few hours
[5:32] Color Layer 1 - Navy
Measured out 2.75 g of Dharma Dark Navy Acid Dye
0.25 g dye / 100 g yarn
5 gallon bucket about half full, add all the mixed dye
Add the yarn before adding acid
Add 10 T white vinegar and stir the yarn up
Wait at least 24 hours
[10:34] 2 days later; out of the first cool vat
[14:50] The dyes
Measure out 2.2 grams of each color
Deep Magenta, Electric Violet, True Turquoise, Emerald Green, Sour Apple
[18:36] The second round of cool vats
6 cups of the water from dyeing the navy in each container
220 g yarn in each container
2 cups of plain water
Start out adding about half the dye I measured out
[28:02] Troubleshooting the green
[32:02] Adjusting the pink
Add a little bit of purple
[33:36] Heat setting the Pink and Blue
Super low heat for about an hour. Turn off the heat and let it sit overnight
[36:52] Two days later, Troubleshooting color and steam set
Add more blue to the teal? Mix 1 g true turquoise off camera to add.
Steam set for 40 min in a steamer basket
