500 artists BE the CHANGE was a pro-clean water festival to celebrate the end of fracking which took place June 1st from noon to 6 PM at the Allentown arts park which is located next to the Baum School of Art across from the Allentown Art Museum. This event was a pro-clean water festival to celebrate the end of fracking. The Lehigh Valley was alive with creative activism from youth who will be affected by the benzene in our water from the dangerous heavy industrial development of shale gas drilling and fracking—FIGHT the POWER! The festival featured art, people's open mic, silly stunts, street theater, live bands, crafts, and all manner of creative demonstrations and downright tomfoolery. This event was co-sponsored by the Alliance for Sustainable Communities Lehigh Valley, Lehigh Valley Gas Truth, and Amber Connection of Emmaus.
