Landscape Painting Plein Air

Описание к видео Landscape Painting Plein Air

Plein air oil painting on cardboard in a Cornish Autumn landscape.

For some oil painting practice I thought it would be a good idea to go into a local landscape and paint onto some un-primed cardboard that was due to be recycled.
I have lots of old packaging which I keep for packing paintings before they are shipped to customers - it also makes for a great, FREE support to paint onto!

I used the following colours in this plein air oil sketch:

Titanium White, Warm White, Lemon Yellow (Winsor and Newton), Lemon Yellow (M Harding), Cadmium Yellow, Cad Red, Magenta, Cad Orange, Raw Umber, Violet, Ultramarine Blue, Cobalt Blue, Manganese Blue, Ivory Black and Sap Green.

I use a Jullian French Box Easel and had a jar of Cold Pressed Linseed Oil to mix with the oil paints and a pot of old turpentine to wash the brushes.

I hope you enjoy the video, if so - please give it the thumbs up.
Please also Subscribe to the channel which will help it grow and encourage me to make more painting videos. Also, please leave any questions in the comments section and I will do my best to answer them.

Thank you for watching - Andrew
