Tadhastu deities are also known as Ashwini deities. According to mythology, Sanya Devi who is the wife of Surya Bhagavan was wandering in Kuru country one day in the form of a horse, when Surya came to know her and she too became a horse and Surya and his wife Sanya Devi met in the form of a horse.These deities ride on a golden chariot, holding a cane in their hands, come to the place where the Yajna Yagads are performed and touch the pooja dravyas near the Yajna Yagads, and touch the people performing the Yajna there with the cane.
Even then they hold the Ayurvedic book in the other hand in the abhaya mudra which they do. These deities are roaming around the world at a special time every day.
24 minutes before sunset, this is known as Sandayakaal. This is the time when the Tadhastu deities roam around. At this time, the Tadhaastu deities hear what we wish for in our hearts
