प्रयागराज में Indian Air Force का एक ट्रेनिंग माइक्रोलाइट एयरक्राफ्ट बुधवार दोपहर क्रैश हो गया। यह हादसा बमरौली एयरफोर्स स्टेशन से उड़ान भरने के कुछ ही मिनटों बाद केपी कॉलेज के पीछे हुआ, जो शहर के बीचों-बीच स्थित इलाका है।

प्रत्यक्षदर्शियों के मुताबिक, एयरक्राफ्ट हवा में डगमगाने लगा, जिसके बाद दोनों पायलटों ने सूझबूझ दिखाते हुए पैराशूट से छलांग लगा दी। दोनों पायलट तालाब में गिरे और दलदल में फंस गए थे, जिन्हें स्थानीय लोगों ने सुरक्षित बाहर निकाल लिया।

हादसे वाली जगह से माघ मेला मात्र 3 किलोमीटर दूर है, जिससे घटना की गंभीरता और बढ़ जाती है। मौके पर सेना, फायर ब्रिगेड, SDRF और NDRF की टीमें तुरंत पहुंचीं और रेस्क्यू ऑपरेशन शुरू किया गया।

डिफेंस विंग के PRO देबार्थों धर ने बताया कि उड़ान के दौरान तकनीकी खराबी सामने आई, जिसके बाद एयरक्राफ्ट को सुनसान इलाके की ओर ले जाया गया, ताकि किसी आम नागरिक को नुकसान न पहुंचे। हादसे की जांच के लिए Court of Inquiry के आदेश दे दिए गए हैं।

A training microlight aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed in Prayagraj on Wednesday afternoon, just minutes after taking off from Bamrauli Air Force Station.

According to eyewitnesses, the aircraft started wobbling mid-air, following which both pilots safely ejected using parachutes. They landed in a pond and were briefly stuck in slush before being rescued by local residents.

The crash site is located in the heart of the city, barely 3 km away from the Magh Mela area, raising serious safety concerns. Indian Army, Fire Brigade, SDRF, and NDRF teams rushed to the spot and initiated rescue operations immediately.

Defence PRO Debartho Dhar confirmed that the microlight aircraft developed a technical fault shortly after takeoff. The pilots displayed presence of mind by steering the aircraft towards an uninhabited area, preventing any civilian casualties. A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to determine the exact cause of the crash.
