Описание к видео INDIVIDUAL AIR LIFTED FROM FS DOC | Firestone News #3

Want to learn more about this situation?
Want to learn about a day in the life of a Correctional Officer?
Want to learn about how an individual survived after severely dislocating his shin bone?

Read below for more details on any of the situations described above.

Situation broadcasted above:
After finishing up an interview with a Firestone DOC Officer, I proceeded to exit the DOC Facility. As I turned onto the main road, I noticed a scene just down the street. I approached and set up my camera to find the ambulance responding, followed by the Medical ASU. In no time at all, the individual was transported to Stapleton County Medical Center and the units that were attached to the call quickly responded to the next call.

DOC Interview with Officer AmericiumReborn, Badge #2C37:

Q: What made you want to become a DOC Officer?
A: I applied and went through the POST Academy with an end goal of becoming some sort of Law Enforcement Officer and helping people. After graduating, I got referred to DOC by a friend and have been with it ever since. Today marks a year since I joined and I got promoted a week ago.

Q: What does a day in the life of a Corrections Officer consist of?
A: Our main duties are to secure the prison which means we maintain watch of the inmates, post up at the gate, and patrolling.

Q: What do patrol units do?
A: Anything a normal L.E.O. would do. We enforce the laws around the prison and patrol the island surrounding the prison.

Q: What area do you mainly work?
A: I am mainly at the gate and occasionally patrol in the Tahoe.

Q: How much happens inside the prison?
A: Not much, the prisoners are usually tame. The main area is the gate. Trollers and breachers are dealt with on a daily basis at this area of the prison and this is where most activity occurs.

Summary:
To become a DOC Officer, you must have a sharp eye and must be very focused at all times. You must graduate POST and pass the application process for DOC. Once you become an Officer, you are able to patrol the area within the DOC jurisdiction, secure the gate, or secure the prison. The gate has the most activity and the patrol units serve as law enforcement officers in the area surrounding the prison. There is not much to expect from the prisoners, but you must always remember that an incident could occur at any time and you must be ready to act.

Situation after the Air-Lift:

We got a report about an individual departing from an SVA Scene. Upon arrival, we were met with a mentally incapable individual about 1000 feet away from the crash scene. The vehicle was slowly being engulfed in flames. While I grabbed the SD card from the vehicle's dashcam and extinguished the fire, my colleague attended to the individual. The individual was found with glass shards in his arm and chest with a necklace securely and tightly wrapped around his neck. The necklace was quickly removed and hydrogen peroxide (a cleaning solution) was applied to his wounds. Upon further review of the patient, his shin bone was sicking through his left leg. Following that discovery, DOT arrived on scene after many units were flagged down and never returned. Upon authorization and worsening symptoms from the individual, DOT assisted an escort to the Stapleton County Medical Center. The patient forced through the trauma and made a full recovery from his wounds.
