Upon arrival at my house today, a beat-up box was sitting on my steps in the rain.
Inside? The replacement dover I-2 valve. The box it was shipped in was far from superior, but it arrived without much damage.
Now off to draining the oil, swapping the valves, refilling with fresh oil, troubleshooting, and final adjustments, making everything perfect, calling the state for an inspection, we should be sorted...
Thankfully, I have an elevator license, so I can legally do this stuff myself.
