Stuffing doesn't just have to be served in a pile next to Turkey and Mashed Potatoes (not that there's anything wrong with that). With a few extra steps you can offer up a golden brown piece of Fried Stuffing and top it, as I do here, with some delicious Turkey Gravy as part of a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

Stuffing Ingredients

1 12 oz box Stuffing (or equivalent)
1 1/2 tsp Poultry Seasoning
1/2 tsp ground Sage
1/2 tsp ground Rosemary
1/2 tsp ground Thyme
1/2 lb chopped Bacon
1 small finely chopped Onion
3 finely chopped stalks of Celery
1 cored and finely chopped Granny Smith Apple
3 1/2 cups Chicken Stock (may only need 3)
6 TBSP melted Butter
1 Egg beaten
