Описание к видео England's Pilgrimage | Ancient Tracks | Pilgrims Way | Day 1

England's Pilgrimage is an ancient track that dates back to the 6 Century BC, now better known as the Pilgrims Way from Winchester to Canterbury this 153 miles route starts at the Shrine of St Swithun in Winchester Cathedral the former capital of England and following the long distance footpath to Canterbury Cathedral and to the shrine of Thomas Beckett.

The first part of the path follows the St Swithun's Way from Winchester to Farnham of which we begin Day 1 of the route along its trail but first we head to the Hospital of St cross to collect the Wayfarers Dole for pilgrims like myself to start us on our way.
Today along St Swithun's Way we will pass the resting place of King Alfred the Great, Kings Worthy, Itchen Abbas, Avington Park, the Watercress Meadows of New Alresford before reaching Ropley and the Watercress Campsite.

Please join me on this fantastic ancient track across the South of England
