The preserved line runs from Brockford Station to a halt at Dovebrook, a distance of around half a mile. The Mid-Suffolk Light Railway, or the 'Middy' as its is affectionately known, opened 19 miles of route from Haughley to Laxfield in 1904. The railway was intended to open up an agricultural area of central Suffolk; it took advantage of the reduced construction cost enabled by the Light Railways Act 1896. The company was absorbed into the LNER in 1924 and closed in 1952.

Locomotives operating at the event included; Bagnall 0-4-0ST, No. 2565, Cockerill 0-4-0VBWT Tram, No. 2525 and LNER Y7, No. 985. Also seen on static display; Ruston & Hornsby 0-4-0DM, No. 165.

Locations include in and around Brockford Station and Dovebrook Halt.

Traction engines and ploughing demonstrations were also to be seen.

Some scenes have been extended that include sound recordings.
