Pericardial Effusion:
Anechoic fluid within pericardial space
Small: maximal depth of fluid collection less than 1 cm
Moderate: maximal depth of fluid = 1–2 cm
Large: maximal depth of fluid greater than 2 cm

Abdomino-Pelvic Fluid:
Anechoic free fluid in Morrison’s pouch
Anechoic free fluid in paracolic gutter space
Anechoic free fluid in subphrenic space
Anechoic free fluid in splenorenal space
Anechoic free fluid in Pouch Of Douglas
Anechoic fluid in Rectovesical pouch

eFAST Scan:
Normal Lung
- Normal lung sliding
- Comet tail artifacts
- Seashore Sign: The upper part of the M-mode consists of horizontal lines (waves/sea). The lower part of the M-mode consists of a granular, “sandy appearance” (shore/beach)

Pneumothorax:
- Absence of lung sliding
- No comet tail artifacts
- Barcode sign (Stratosphere Sign): The M-Mode is filled with horizontal lines.
No granular, sandy appearance seen
