1.The North Bund, located in Hongkou District of Shanghai, China, is situated at the confluence of Suzhou Creek and Huangpu River, with Lujiazui and the Oriental Pearl Tower to the south across the river, offering some of the most beautiful views of both sides of the river in the whole of Shanghai.
The 3.53-kilometer-long North Bund runs along the banks of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek. Relying on Hongkou's riverside green space, the Bund is surrounded by unique cultural and commercial facilities, providing citizens and tourists with a full range of cultural, tourism and leisure services with a variety of choices. Along the North Bund, there are ancient buildings, office buildings, W Hotel, high-end shopping malls, Waibaidu Bridge and so on.
2.Across the Huangpu River between the North Bund and Lujiazui, you can take the Shanghai Ferry, an inland river ferry system on Shanghai waters that offers passenger and car ferries for as little as 2 RMB.
Shanghai ferries are an ancient way of crossing the river in Shanghai, and have been in use for hundred years.
3.This weekend we strolled the North Bund walkway, took the ferry across to Lujiazui, and in the evening, took the ferry back to the North Bund to see the beautiful Shanghai at sunset! It was stunning!
