Scriptures Against Human Sacrifice
The following scriptures emphasize the value of human life and reject human sacrifice:
Genesis 22:1-14*
Abraham's faith is tested when Ya'oh asks him to sacrifice Isaac. At the last moment, an angel stops Abraham and provides a ram as a substitute sacrifice.
And He said, 'Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear the Creator, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.'" (Genesis 22:12 NKJV)
Deuteronomy 12:29-31*
The Israelites are warned against adopting practices of other nations, including child sacrifice.
