An IDEA Scholar and lifelong learner, Priscilla Ai-Lan Nguyen spent her time at
UC San Diego building rockets, friendships and a little campus lore along the way.
From developing cryogenic rockets with Students for the Exploration and Development
of Space (SEDS) to mentoring future engineers and championing diversity in STEM,
Nguyen created impact through compassion and innovation. She treasures the
people and adventures that made campus home: playing guitar in Hopkins parking
structure, stargazing at the Gliderport, skating through Library Walk, and napping in
the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering courtyard. She carries these memories,
knowing that life is temporary, but the best moments — and the people you share
them with — last forever.
