On April 27, 2011, one of the most notable tornado outbreaks would occur across the US. coined as the “Super Outbreak” this record breaking event would result in the most tornadoes ON RECORD in a 24 hour period. Included was an unreal amount of violent tornadoes, notably 4 EF5s and 11 EF4s. This stat makes it essentially no surprise that some of these tornadoes, despite their intensity and documentation, have gone forgotten. One of these is the mountainous Bridgeport, Alabama to Marion County, Tennessee EF4. The twister, occurring at around 6 PM, would kill 1 young boy near the small town of Stevenson. Unfortunately, the somewhat-visible (though at times uncondensed) tornado did significantly damage multiple well-built structures, and took on multiple unique shapes. Not only did it cause extensive damage, but its historic status during a terrifying day resulted in it being scarcely (but still, notably) documented through multiple sources. Unfortunately, these angles, if any, have been somewhat scattered online from multiple places. So, i’ve decided to compile all 6 videos I could find of this tornado into one 11 minute (as long as I could get it) comp with you!
