Piano Manouche — “Waltz de Patri” by Lollo Meier

🌸 Hello everyone! This is my new piano arrangement of a gorgeous Gypsy Manouche waltz composed by Lollo Meier, a prominent modern-day Dutch Gypsy Jazz guitarist.
(“Patri” in Sinti language means “leaf”🍃 “Waltz of the Leaf”)

✨In this video I did something I’ve never done in a Gypsy Jazz arrangement before — I improvised in the middle part! It’s very much outside of my comfort zone because I like to be prepared (Classical music habits die hard, haha!), but in this arrangement I decided to be prepared…not to be!
I’m so grateful for your support on my last video of improvisation on “All of Me” which I posted here and on my social media outlet. Thank you for allowing me to have a safe space to experiment, learn and share my music as I go. I mean it. 🙏🏻
