The film follows a group of friends— Clover (Ella Rubin) and her companions—who venture into a remote valley to investigate the mysterious disappearance of one of them. They soon find themselves trapped in a terrifying loop: each time someone dies, they wake up again at the start of the night, facing new horrors from masked killers to monsters. 
While the premise is inventive and ties back to the game’s survival theme, the plot struggles with under-developed characters and a somewhat chaotic flow. Some critics found it fun but flawed.

Visually the film delivers: the production design is solid, the atmosphere richly built, and the horror set pieces often effective. One critic noted the cinematography lets you “see in the dark” in a good way.
