Los cuidadores desempeñan un papel vital en la atención y la recuperación del paciente. Detrás de cada trasplante exitoso de células madre sanguíneas hay un cuidador dedicado. Su función incluye asistir a las citas médicas con el paciente, hacer preguntas, mantenerse al día con el régimen de medicación del paciente y ser un apoyo confiable. Los cuidadores suelen ser un miembro de la familia del paciente que se preocupa por los intereses del paciente. Caregivers play a vital role in a patient’s care and recovery. Behind every successful blood stem cell transplant is a dedicated caregiver. Their role includes attending doctors’ appointments with the patient, asking questions, keeping up with the patient’s medication regimen and being a dependable supporter. Caregivers are typically a family member of the patient who has the patient's best interest at heart. As part of the team that keeps things moving forward, the caregiver is critical before and after transplant.
