Subrata Chowdhury was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. Subrata Chowdhury, the eldest son of Deepesh Chowdhury and Radha Chowdhury, a resident of Kachuai village in Patia upazila, came to the United States with his family as immigrants in 2012.

Subrata Chowdhury, a Human Services Specialist for the Atlantic County Government, has been involved in the media relentlessly since his arrival in the United States, and has been widely acclaimed in the community for his objective journalism.

He lives in Chelsea Heights, Atlantic City with his wife Lucky Chowdhury, two children Arghya Chowdhury and Adri Chowdhury.

For the second time, Subrata Chowdhury touched the four scriptures together and took oath. He was also sworn in as a member of the Atlantic City School Board in January 2020, touching four sacred scriptures.
