I remembered first hearing Lucinda William's version of this on the radio back in the late 90s and thinking "damn, that rocks!" But then, like so many of the indie stations of the day, it faded off. Then a couple of years ago I caught some video of Alison Krauss and Robert Plant collaborating on it and thought "damn, that rocks!" followed closely by "isn't that a Lucinda Williams song? She's such a good writer" and she is. But then I researched the song for this post and realized "Ah! Randy Weeks wrote this tune!" Time to go check the rest of his stuff out now...
