It’s an ominous scene, where tensions about , but it might leave someone who hasn’t studied the history of Shakespeare’s life to ask: Why a garden, Hamlet?

Well, it turns out that for Shakespeare and people living in England during the 16-17th centuries, a garden was a status symbol.
