The Golden Years of Westwood Studios - 10th Anniversary Retrospective.

Many moons ago just after I bought my first PC, I picked up the Westwood Studios 10th Anniversary boxset from 1995 second-hand. I was pretty much overjoyed, as it had several of the games I'd previously enjoyed on the amiga such as Dune II, and plenty more that I'd wanted to play but never had (Such as Legend of Kyrandia), but what also intrigued me was the CD that came with it and I pulled this set of videos from, with very candid and quite heartwarming behind the scenes glimpses of this much-missed studio, as well as seeing the evolution of the company as it grew. I love these kind of videos, having fond memories of spending an afternoon around the same time, just watching the interviews that come with various versions of the Midway Arcade Treasures compilations. In the days before Youtube and magazines like Retrogamer, this was the only way you could really see stuff like this in video form, so being a fan of videogame history and trivia, used to eagerly buy any complications that included things like these. The Namco Museum games were particular favourites of mine for the wealth of explorable trivia they included.

All I've done with this is mashed together the ten individual year videos into one, and have uploaded this merely in the interests of securing it for posterity and to share with others. Westwood Studios would of course, have several more amazing years ahead of them with the C&C franchise, but I think this does feel like the golden years of the studio with the sheer range of games they were putting out, hence the title.
