WSGC Commissioner and Vice Chair, Julia Patterson, testified Feb. 7, 2023 to the Senate Business, Financial Services, Gaming and Trade Committee on E2SSB 5634 which addressed funding for problem gambling in the state of Washington. Sponsored by Sen. Steve Conway (D-Tacoma), the bill would be passed by the Senate and House during the 2023 Washington State Legislature, signed into law by Governor Jay Inslee on May 4, 2023.
