This acoustic take of "Somewhere Upstate" was recorded Live at Press Press Merch in Roanoke, Virginia in September 2025.

During the release week of my album Stranger (released 9/26/25), I had the opportunity to perform a few songs off my new record at a handful of Virginia small businesses that I love. One of those is Press Press Merch in Roanoke VA. This business is responsible for printing all of the soft goods you see on my merch table at shows and on my website. They do an incredible job and were kind enough to let me setup in a corner of their warehouse and pressing facility to play a couple songs when I was rolling through town. My manager and I had to scramble to setup this session as we only had a few minutes to capture something before I went on air at the regional TV station, so this is the first song we shot and the first (and only) take we shot.

"Somewhere Upstate" felt like a fitting song to be sung amongst their vintage presses - I hope you enjoy watching.
