As a Philadelphian living in LA (who grew up eating cheesesteaks in Philly), I’m always getting asked: what’s the BEST Philly cheesesteak in Los Angeles?! I tried a few spots out here already, but I figured I’d put it to y’all and ask for recommendations. And as always, you came through — heavy — swearing these spots have the best cheesesteak in LA.

Now let me be real upfront… none of these are touching the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia AT ALL 😭, but a few of them are definitely solid starting points.

To keep things fair across the board, I ordered the exact same thing at every spot: a classic cheesesteak, made the same way. Only one place used Cooper Sharp cheese and a seeded roll. Prices were pretty similar at two of the locations, but one spot was noticeably cheaper… and I found out why later. So, watch me try their food, and give my honest opinion so YOU can know if these are a MUST, Bust, or mid!
