Alonge Hawes is an author from Stone Mountain, Georgia. Whose reviews and think pieces have been published in such online publications as Abernathy, Blavity, and Ryse. Blue Collar Hustle, his first foray into screenwriting and producing; was awarded Best Web Series at the 2017 Urban Mediamakers Film Festival. The series was also nominated for Best Drama and Best Representation Of Communities Of Color at the inaugural Minnesota Webfest, winning the latter trophy. In addition, the series has been named an official selection to both the Top Shorts Film Festival and Top Indie Awards Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Web Series and Best Writing.
