Established 200 years ago, @SegurosFidelidade has become the market leader in the insurance sector of Portugal. Daniel Riscado, Head of Center for Transformation at Fidelidade, makes use of his three-pronged “values” when he carries out project planning, development and implementation. That is how to keep this century-old insurance company innovative and dynamic through its transformation. Let’s have a look at the story of Daniel.
Hi everyone! My name is Daniel Riscado and I am Head of Center for Transformation at Fidelidade.
In order to pursue our mission, we follow our own value chain, which starts with what we call innovation, where the team identifies and validates key trends. We follow on into the next stage, which we call strategic design. In this phase what we do is to empathize with the users, with their problems and we move on to ideation, definition and ending up with prototyping.
After checking all these boxes, we move on to the next stage, which we call transformation. This really is to put an NVP in the market. So, we set up a pilot and we validate all the key dimensions within this value proposition: this means the solution itself, its features, how the user engages with this solution, the pricing, the channels, the communication. We do all this by following the lean startup way, which means “build, measure, learn”. When we make everything right and we believe we have a chance to pursue something more serious, we move on to the next stage, which we call venture.
This is very fulfilling for me because it allows me, with the rest of the group, to pursue new areas, totally unknown, where the potential is huge and to work with very brilliant people that give their best every day to put this into practice and build new successes for the group. It’s truly amazing and I’m really proud of being a part of Fosun Family.
